14th Hot Dog Show 1st May 2011

Paphos Harbour was once again host to Paphiakos and CCP Animal Welfare’s annual dog show organised by Susan Brookbanks.  Opened by the Mayor of Paphos, Mr Savvas Vergas, the Show offered something for everyone, young and old, Cypriot and ex-pat.  There was a wide variety of stalls to visit, offering both goods to buy or information on services available locally, and for children a variety of activities were available including the ever-popular face painting and bouncy castle.  And there was the Dog Show itself.
The weather, somewhat cooler than normal, suited the great numbers and variety of dogs taking part in the competition classes.  The Best in Show was won by ‘Taz’, a Giant Schnauzer, judged as the dog, Mr John Everett our 2011 arena Judge would most like to take home with him. On his behalf his owner, Sonia Lynch, was presented with a large trophy and 100 euros worth of goods donated by one of the show’s Nicosia sponsors.
Paphiakos and CCP Animal Welfare would like to thank all those people and organisations, too numerous to mention individually, without whose support and sponsorship the show could not have taken place. We look forward to welcoming you to the 15^th Annual Hot Dog Show on May 6^th 2012
