Will I be my animal’s only sponsor?
Paphiakos Special Animal Sponsorship is a co-sponsorship scheme with a number of people sponsoring each animal. Your money will go towards helping the animal(s) you have chosen to sponsor, as well as some of their friends.
How often will I hear updates about my sponsorship?
We will send you updates and photographs about your special sponsored animal, group or Care Cage at least twice a year. The updates will be sent via e-mail, unless you specifically ask us for updates via post. In addition, you can access the online animals in need section under the Sponsorship section of our website.
Can I sponsor an animal as a gift for someone else?
Yes, this can make a really nice gift for animal-loving friends. When signing up, please register using your details first and then indicate that you would like this to be a gift.We will then get in touch with you to further discuss the details of the person you wish to receive this.
How can I pay?
While Direct Debit is the easiest and most cost-effective way of making your contributions, you can also pay by cheque, postal order, Paypal, or by credit card.
If you cannot send a cheque, please send your contributions by postal order (available at the Post Office) rather than cash, as cash can be lost or stolen in the post. Please be sure to write your name, address and telephone number on the back of every payment you send to us so we know that it is from you.
Do you send out expiry reminders?
We try to keep in contact with all our friends, sponsors and members as much as we can, whilst at all times trying to keep our administration costs as low as possible. We do contact sponsors we have not heard from for a while and also send reminders as much as we can.Please remember 2 simple ways that you can help us to stay cost-effective:
- 1) Paying by Direct Debit/ bank transfer
- 2) Giving us your e-mail address, if you have online access.
Do I send details of my Direct Debit to the bank?
When completing the form, please let us know how you would like to pay & then kindly set up the bank transfer with your bank. We have provided both our UK and Cyprus bank details on the form so that this is as easy for you as possible.
Do I need to give you my telephone number?
You do have to supply us with your telephone number. It helps us to contact you very quickly should we have a query about your animal sponsorship.
Why do I need to give my date of birth?
This will help us to know more about you and send you news from Paphiakos that will be relevant to you (e.g. we try to exclude children from our appeal mailings).
